Privacy notice
How CPO Insights collects and uses personal information.
Who we are
CPO Insights is published by Ipso Facto Consulting Limited (company number 10326251), which is the controller of personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy through the contact form.
What we collect and why
Email confirmation and newsletter. When you enter your email address to continue reading or to subscribe, we send a one-time code to confirm the address belongs to you. We keep your email address, the date you confirmed it, and the wording you agreed to. We use it to keep briefings open for you on this site and to send you new CPO Insights briefings through our newsletter. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
Enquiries. When you use the contact form we keep your name, email address, organisation and message so that we can reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Security. We temporarily record IP addresses to limit repeated requests and protect the site from abuse.
We never sell or share your details for other organisations' marketing.
Cookies and analytics
We use an essential cookie to remember that you have confirmed your email address, so briefings stay open on your device for up to a year. With your permission, we measure visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across other websites. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Who processes data for us
Cloudflare (website hosting, storage and security), Resend (delivery of confirmation codes and enquiry notifications) and our newsletter delivery provider. These providers process data on our instructions. Some may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Unused confirmation codes expire after 15 minutes.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the contact form. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
